Henna Brows (Brow I:D)
Henna brows are a more in-depth and longer lasting form of eyebrow tinting. It includes eyebrow mapping and drawing on your desired shape prior to the application of your chosen Henna colour. The Henna creates depth and fullness in the area, visually filling any sparseness. Lasting up to 14 days on the skin and 4-6 weeks on the hair, Brow I:D is a gentle formulation containing no ammonia, lead or peroxide which helps to minimise the body’s natural absorption of 'nasties'. It is vegan and cruelty free.
The way Brow:ID Henna works on the hair and skin structure is incredibly unique in comparison to tinting. Tinting uses an oxidant to open the cuticle of the hair and allows colour to penetrate the brow hairs cortex through the oxidation process. Henna, on the other hand, acts like a blanket over the hair and provides a coating to the hair shaft, coating the top layers of the hair cuticle only. As the brow cuticle has a scale-like finish, this coating smooths out the result, almost like buffing out the hair imperfections to give the appearance of a thicker, softer and smoother hair and eyebrow.
Your skin regenerates daily, so it is always difficult to say how long a Brow:ID Henna is going to last on a certain skin type in the brow area, as skin varies from person to person. Some clients have oily skin and some clients have dry skin and these conditions can affect the longevity of the skin stain and make the skin more resistant to ‘staining’.
