Spray Tanning
A natural-looking glow, without the guesswork.
Whether you're getting ready for a holiday, a wedding, a night out or you simply like the way a little colour looks on you, we'll help you choose a tan that suits your skin and the result you want.
We use Nouvatan professional spray-tan solutions and will talk you through shade, preparation, development time and aftercare so you know exactly what to expect.
No orange surprises. No wondering what to wear. No guessing when you can shower.
Why a professional spray tan?
The colour matters. So does how evenly it goes on.
A spray tan gives you an even, all-over colour without spending ages trying to blend self-tan around ankles, elbows and the middle of your back.
Your therapist can also help you choose a depth of colour that works with your skin tone and the look you're after — whether that's subtle and sun-kissed or a little deeper.
We use Nouvatan, a professional tanning range designed to create a natural-looking result without UV exposure.
The aim is for people to think you look well — not immediately ask which fake tan you used.

Before your appointment
A little preparation makes a big difference.
A spray tan sits most evenly on skin that's smooth, clean and free from products that can act as a barrier.
01
Exfoliate beforehand
Pay particular attention to drier areas such as elbows, knees and ankles, ideally before the day of your tan.
03
Arrive product-free
Avoid body lotion, oils, deodorant, perfume and other products on the areas being sprayed unless we've advised otherwise.
02
Wax or shave first
If you're removing hair, do it before your spray-tan appointment rather than afterwards.
04
Wear loose clothing
Dark, loose clothing and easy footwear are a sensible choice while your tan develops.
We'll send preparation information before your appointment too. One of our clients specifically mentioned how useful it was to receive preparation and aftercare guidance rather than having to remember everything themselves.
During the appointment
What actually happens?
If you've never had a spray tan before, we'll explain everything rather than expecting you to know the routine.
You'll have privacy to change into whatever you're comfortable wearing for the treatment. Your therapist will then guide you through a series of simple positions so the tanning solution can be applied evenly.
We'll pay particular attention to areas where tan can catch or develop differently and explain how long your chosen tan needs to develop before you rinse it off.
Once the application is finished, you'll get dressed carefully and head home while the colour develops.
The appointment itself is quick. The preparation and aftercare are what help make the result last beautifully.
“I absolutely love how my tan looks! It's not patchy at all and it's exactly how I want it. Chloe was lovely and she made me feel comfortable. I also love how they email you before the appointment with how to prepare... and after the treatment with aftercare advice.”

Questions you might have
-
A professional spray tan should be chosen around your skin tone and the depth of colour you want rather than simply applying the darkest option available.
We'll talk about whether you want a subtle glow or something deeper and recommend a suitable shade.
The goal is believable colour, not a one-shade-fits-all tan.
-
If this is your first spray tan or you prefer a very natural look, starting slightly lighter can feel more comfortable. If you know you like a deeper tan, tell us.
Your natural colouring, the occasion and how much contrast you like all matter. We'll help you choose.
-
Your current treatment guidance is to allow the tan to develop for up to around 8 hours, but we'll give you the exact development instructions for the solution used at your appointment.
Follow the rinse time we give you so the colour develops as intended.
-
During treatment, wear whatever level of coverage you're comfortable with and that allows us to spray the areas you've booked.
Afterwards, loose, dark clothing is usually easiest while the guide colour develops. Avoid tight waistbands, socks or anything that may rub heavily against freshly applied tan.
-
No. You choose what you're comfortable wearing during the treatment. Anything you keep on will simply create a tan line.
There is no pressure to wear less than you're comfortable with.
-
Hair removal should happen before the spray tan, not after it.
Waxing or shaving can temporarily sensitise or exfoliate the skin, so ideally allow the skin time to settle before tanning rather than doing it immediately beforehand.
-
Good skin hydration in the days beforehand can help, but avoid arriving covered in body lotion or oil because these can interfere with how evenly the tanning solution sits on the skin.
-
There isn't one exact number because the colour fades as the outermost skin cells naturally shed.
How long it looks its best depends on your skin, preparation, showering, swimming, exfoliation and moisturising afterwards.
-
You want enough time for the tan to develop and for you to complete the first rinse before the event itself.
If you've never had a professional spray tan before and the event is especially important, a trial beforehand can be a very sensible idea.
-
It's best to avoid heavy sweating while the tan is developing because moisture and friction can interfere with an even result.
-
You can still potentially have a lovely spray-tan result, but preparation becomes particularly important.
Tan can cling more strongly to very dry areas, which is why gentle exfoliation and good skin care beforehand matter.
