Two-in-one
BIAB includes a two-in-one Primer and Base and only needs 60 seconds under a LED lamp to cure.
A BIAB manicure lasts at least four weeks and is proving extremely popular because of its luxury feel, long-lasting shine, and, of course, the added benefit of strengthening your natural nails!

We work in a fascinating, fast-paced, and constantly evolving industry. Learning new treatment techniques, creating new looks, and bringing the latest trends into the salon is immensely exciting and rewarding. With that in mind, we thought we’d peek into the future and take a look at some of the things that could be big in 2022.
And we’re starting with a big one…
1. Ethical products
Isn’t it about time that beauty brands stopped testing their cosmetic products on animals? Should beauty brands do more to recycle? In 2022, the answer should be yes.
This year, we hope to see an even greater range of vegan and cruelty-free products on the market and for brands to commit to being more sustainable, lower their CO2 emissions, and increase recycling.
These are issues that we feel very strongly about in the salon. We have replaced cotton buds with sustainable bamboo alternatives, we are passionate about recycling, and we only use products from brands that never test on animals!
2. Less is more
Next, a make-up trend that could have health benefits for your skin.
You’ve heard of the phrase less is more; well, one of the top trends in make-up will feature ‘barely-there’ complexion products. There are lots of make-up tutorials on YouTube that teach people how to create minimal, natural-looking make-up, using just a couple of products - letting natural beauty shine through.
The great thing about this trend is that it challenges what our society has come to know as ‘normal’ - the idea that we only ‘look good’ if we wear make-up. However, not wearing make-up has plenty of health benefits, most notably, allowing skin to breathe and not allowing it to be clogged up by products.
3. Nature-inspired nails
Now, it wouldn’t be a trends post without nails! Nail art is an exciting and creative treatment that we love to provide for you. Over the last few years, we’ve seen the emergence of intricate nail designs, and this isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
In 2022, natural-inspired nail designs will be the in-thing. Beautiful landscapes, crystal geodes, sandy deserts, and sparkling constellations are some of the designs that could be popular.
4. Brows that wow
Brows are a beauty trademark. From a simple wax and tint to microblading, we love brow treatments here at Butterfly You. We’ve read that higher arches and thinner brows could be on-trend in 2022, which raised a few, well, eyebrows in the salon. But we think the most popular trend will be brow lamination. Brow lamination is almost like a perm for your eyebrows, and it is a process that opens the bond of the hair and repositions it into an upward, more lifted shape.
Those are our four trend predictions for now. We’re sure we'll have many more trends appearing as we carry on throughout the year.
